Ingredients

  • 5 cups Chicken Broth
  • 3 cups Marinara Sauce
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • 1 tsp. Italian Seasoning
  • 1 cup diced Onion (I like sweet onions. Yellow onion would work too)
  • 1 cup diced Sweet Bell Pepper
  • 1 lb. Ground Beef or Sausage
  • Salt & Pepper (to taste)
  • Parmesan (for topping)
  • Fresh Mozzarella (for topping)

Makes about 6-8 servings.

Instructions:

Dice onion and bell pepper and sautee in a pan with a little oil until softened.

Cook ground beef or sausage until fully done.

In a large pot, add chicken broth, marinara, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and pressed garlic clove. Then add in your meat, onions, and peppers.

Let everything simmer in the pot and mingle for about 20 minutes or so depending on how patient you are. 😉

For topping, I grated as much parmesan as my heart desired and sliced up some fresh mozzarella. I had some fresh basil I needed to use so I chopped some and put that on top too. Croutons would also be a yummy addition.

Enjoy your soup!
