Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water.
- 1/3 cup granular sugar.
- 2 1/4 tsp. instant yeast (or 1 packet)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour.
- 3/4 tsp. salt.
- 2 tbsp. oil (I use avocado)
- 2 tbsp. butter (I use salted)
Instructions
- In a bowl, stir together water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes, until bubble form.
- In your stand mixer bowl with your dough hook, add flour, salt, and oil. Pour in your yeast mixture. Turn mixer to medium speed and allow to knead until all ingredients are well combined and the dough isn’t sticking to the bowl.
- Roll dough into a ball and place in a lightly greased bowl covering loosely with plastic wrap. Set in a dark, warm spot for 60-90 mins, until doubled in size.
- Deflate the dough and shape into a log to fit in a 9×5 loaf pan. Cover loosely with plastic wrap. Set in a dark, warm spot for 50-60 minutes, until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 350F about 20 minutes before your final rise is done.
- Bake for 23-28 minutes, until golden brown.
- Brush the crust with melted butter and let cool for 10 minutes in the pan.
- Remove from the pan and transfer to a cooling rack to allow the bread to cool completely before slicing into it. (if you don’t let it cool it will be gummy, trust me)
Enjoy!
